Beginning October 14, North St. between Hampstead St. and Atkinson St. will be closed to replace the culvert. Work should be completed by October 24. Info: 978-983-8545
The DPW is now accepting applications for city snowplowing. Applications are available in the DPW Office, The Searles Building, 41 Pleasant St. and the Highway Yard, 33 Lindberg Ave. Deadline to Apply: November 7. Info: 978-983-8545
NOTICE: The last day to pull road excavation permits is November 7 and the last day to excavate the roads is November 21. Information: 978-983-8550
 Several Methuen streets will be closed this week and next for resurfacing. Scheduled work is weather-permitting and subject to variation. For specific streets to be paved and other questions, call the DPW office at 978-983-8545.

Only Checks payable to City of Methuen are accepted for dumping fees at the Transfer Station. Cash is NOT accepted. 
White goods (appliances) and yard waste curbside pickup, along with disposal at the Transfer Station, are FREE OF CHARGE for Methuen senior citizens with proper identification.

The City of Methuen does NOT pick up cardboard with regular trash pickup. Cardboard is picked up with recycling. Please call the DPW Office with any questions.
