In order to preserve the Veterans Squares in the vicinity of the Methuen Rotary Project, the stones and signposts will be temporarily moved and displayed in the Elmwood Cemetery Veterans Lot on North Lowell Street. They will be relocated to a permanent home upon project completion

 CONSTRUCTION AND PUBLIC WORKS UPDATES

Beginning October 14, North St. between Hampstead St. and Atkinson St. will be closed to replace the culvert. Work should be completed by October 24. Info: 978-983-8545

City Hall Daily Hours: The Searles Building - Methuen City Hall, 41 Pleasant Street, is open Monday through Thursday, 8am-4:30pm and Friday, 8am-Noon.

 

Veterans Employment: There is a Veterans Employment Preference list in the Methuen Human Resources Office regarding City of Methuen jobs. Interested veterans may sign their name to the list and receive preference for jobs available. The list has been established per the City Council Resolution on Veterans Employment Preference

 

National Grid Trimming: National Grid will be performing branch/tree trimming and removal in the areas marked on this Project Map beginning April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015. More info is available at the National Grid Website.
